In the world of B2B business, track record is sacred. We have audited companies with more than 40 years of history, plants in several countries, and incredible operational capacity. However, we have encountered a disconcerting reality: giants with paper foundations that, despite their physical power, are practically non-existent on the new digital map.
After analyzing a representative sample of nearly 30 sites from the industrial and service sectors, at jerrejerre we have detected that the average "digital health" is a mere 38/100. This is not just an aesthetic problem; it is the reason why new response engines (AI) are ignoring the companies with the most experience in the market.
What does this mean?
It means that while companies invest in machinery and logistics, their windows to the world are broken, outdated or, in the worst cases, hijacked. Below, we share the 4 critical findings from our audits that explain this invisibility.
1. The invisible enemy: Websites selling bets instead of services
One of the most alarming findings is that 16.6% of companies (1 in 6) present an active spam injection hack.
It is a painful irony: leading companies in sustainability or manufacturing have their main tag (H1) talking about "online casinos." This attack is designed to deceive Google, destroying brand reputation and causing penalties that can take years to heal.
2. Flying blind: 33% of analytics is non-existent
Our audit revealed that one in three companies does not have any data measurement system configured. Operating without indicators in B2B marketing seems to be the norm, making it impossible to measure return on investment (ROI) or understand where real leads are coming from.
3. Technical neglect: "Lorem Ipsum" in the C-Suite
50% of the analyzed sites have serious indexing problems: from WordPress sample pages to entire sections with placeholder text (Lorem Ipsum). Projecting this lack of attention to detail contradicts the operational excellence these companies demand in their production plants.
4. The great Artificial Intelligence gap (GEO)
We are in the age of AI, but the B2B sector remains stuck in 2015. The average readiness for generative searches (such as ChatGPT or Perplexity) is only 28/100.
The total absence of Structured Data (Schema.org) makes AI ignore the true experts. If a buyer asks an AI for "the best industrial provider," these companies will not appear simply because their website does not know how to "speak" the language of artificial intelligence.
Conclusions: The cost of digital invisibility
- The gap between corporate image and technical reality is the greatest risk for B2B growth in 2026.
- If your website operates with vulnerabilities or junk content, AI will classify your brand as "untrustworthy."
- If an AI cannot extract your data in a structured way, it will recommend a competitor who does, even if they have less track record than you.
